My name is Alex Braczkowski and I'm a conservation scientist, photographer and cameraman from Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Over the past ten years I have filmed, photographed and studied African lions, leopards, jaguars, and caracals across three continents. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Oxford, UK with a Masters degree and in 2020 completed my PhD at the University of Queensland, Australia. My most recent science and film work explores assessing densities of lions and other carnivores in Uganda, the benefits of carnivores on human health and mitigation strategies for human-carnivore conflict.
